Our Mission

The East Bay Chapter of CLSA is dedicated to advancing the profession of land surveying through education, advocacy, and fellowship among our members.

We serve as the local voice for land surveyors in Alameda, Contra Costa, and surrounding Bay Area counties, providing a forum for professional development and networking opportunities.

Our chapter works closely with CLSA State to represent the interests of land surveyors in legislative matters and to promote the highest standards of professional practice.

Our History

The East Bay Chapter of CLSA was established in 1963 by a group of dedicated land surveying professionals who recognized the need for a local organization to address the unique challenges faced by surveyors in the East Bay region.

Over the decades, our chapter has grown from a small group of founding members to over 200 active participants, including licensed land surveyors, land surveyor interns, and affiliated professionals from related fields.

Today, we continue to uphold the vision of our founders: to promote excellence in the practice of land surveying, to support the professional development of our members, and to serve as advocates for the surveying profession in our community and at the state level.
